The Switch release schedule for May gives us a taste of summer vacation with Endless Ocean Luminous’ underwater excursions. And while Biomutant is having a catch-up session on the Nintendo console, the best opus in the Paper Mario series is making a comeback!

Endless Ocean Luminous

It was on Wii, in 2007, that the underwater diving series Endless Ocean debuted with a proposition that goes against the grain of usual productions. Building on its success with the public, the title was extended through a second part entitled Endless Ocean 2: Adventurers of the Seabed. Since then, radio silence. Fifteen years later, developer Arika unveils the third opus of this franchise much appreciated by gamers, with a nice surprise for fans…

Lovers of solitary contemplative atmospheres must make up their minds: Endless Ocean Luminous puts the spotlight on multiplayer! From May 2, no less than 30 virtual divers will be able to meet in the depths discovering the seabed. Group dives will complement the solo adventure to make the experience more friendly. Especially since the map will be renewed with each new game. There is no doubt that the aquatic environments of this third part should hide all kinds of buried treasures and mysterious creatures to unearth with more than 500 forms of marine life to list.

Biomutant

Already tested in its 2021 version, the friendly Biomutant will finally be available on Nintendo Switch from May 14. This open-world RPG offers itself a fairly original post-apocalyptic setting, populated by mutating creatures divided into several rival tribes. The combat system highlights martial arts techniques, in addition to classic ranged shooting or close combat actions.

To free the Tree of Life from the evil that is gnawing at it, the player must reprogram your character’s genetic structure in order to inherit new mutations. All kinds of mounts and means of transport are planned to crisscross the game world, but the outcome will not necessarily be happy.

World of Goo 2

The concept of World of Goo is as evil as it is difficult to describe. Those who played the original title necessarily remember the tension that results from the stacking of these unstable buildings made up of gelatinous blobs capable of attaching to each other like molecules.

The principle is obviously the same in World of Goo 2, except that the Switch version will benefit from an exclusive 4-player co-op experience which does not seem to be present on PC. Fluid physics should be pushed even further in order to make the challenges ever more difficult to overcome.

Paper Mario: The Millennium Door

If the Paper Mario series was born on N64 almost 25 years ago, the GameCube episode is regularly cited as being players’ favorite. As a reminder, the formula is very close to the concept of Super Mario RPG, the remake of which was released only a few months ago on Nintendo Switch. Rebelote with Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door which is getting a little providential makeover. It must be said that the original version dates from 2004 and that the visual overhaul is considerable. But what makes this episode so charming is above all its offbeat humor. and the implausibility of the situations involving the plumber’s new allies. The artistic direction can also count on an irresistible theatrical atmosphere and very inspired cardboard sets. The appointment is therefore set for May 23 on Switch for the remake of Paper Mario: The Millennium Door.
