Four out of five people are worried about the corona pandemic, as Comparis.ch announced on Monday night. The online comparison portal commissioned the market research institute Innofact with the representative survey. 81 percent of those surveyed are also concerned about the rise in prices. And a sixth fear that their financial situation will worsen in the coming year.
The reasons given for a feared deterioration are the burden of rents and mortgage interest. But job loss, slump in sales and health insurance premiums also cause people concern.
Among those surveyed who are optimistic about the new year, one point stands out, writes Comparis.ch: They assume that their investments will increase in value like shares. Many also expect a better paid job or a wage increase.
According to a report, the Innofact institute surveyed 1,045 people in all regions of Switzerland in December. (SDA)
