Corona current: 3 new rules

In order to make the corona virus manageable in autumn as well, the government has passed new rules. These include high fines, among other things.

The corona numbers remain at a high level in Germany. As many infected people as currently were last reported in April. For the government this means: action is the order of the day. Because autumn is still ahead.

The sources of infection can no longer be grasped properly. After the returnee, outbreaks followed in schools, and there are now more reports of corona cases after celebrations. However, they all make it clear: The corona virus has not disappeared. Rather, it is already spreading again in Germany.

With falling temperatures and increased stay indoors, experts fear a further increase in the number of cases. To prepare for autumn, the government held a corona summit on Tuesday. New measures were decided upon.

Celebrate only with an upper limit

There are two new upper limits for participants in celebrations. These are based on the number of cases: If more than 35 infections per 100,000 inhabitants are reported in a district within seven days, the limit for public celebrations is 50 people. A maximum of 25 people are then recommended in private rooms.

If the number of cases continues to rise and are over 50 per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days, the number of participants in public or rented rooms drops to 25; privately, no more than ten should come together.

Fancy Name Fines

It was decided that fines of at least 50 euros can be imposed. Whether and how high these look in reality, however, depends on the country level. While Schleswig-Holstein is thinking about a fine of up to 1,000 euros, according to the Tagesschau, Saxony-Anhalt has already abolished the mandatory lists. For the specific decisions you have to orientate yourself towards your federal state – or just be sensible and just provide the correct data. Because if you simply adhere to the Corona rules from the outset, you will not face a fine.

Hygiene rules expanded

Recently, Merkel once again pointed out the hygiene rules more intensively. She added one point to the AHA formula (keep your distance, hand hygiene, wear an everyday mask): ventilation should not be forgotten during the corona measures. Rather, regular ventilation could be one of the most effective and cheapest measures to contain the coronavirus.
