Coronavirus in France: the results of this Monday, January 31

Contaminations

This Monday, January 31, 82,657 new cases were recorded in 24 hours according to Public Health France. Note that the number of contaminations is always lower due to the weekend.

Hospitalizations

Hospitalizations for Covid continue to rise with a total of 32,374 patients currently in hospital with a Covid diagnosis (compared to 29,748 seven days ago and 31,536 the day before).

In critical care services, the situation is stable. There were 3,700 patients hospitalized in these departments on Monday, a little more than the day before (3,641 patients), but less than last Monday (3,776).

Deaths

348 people have died in hospital in the past 24 hours, compared to 127 the day before. Since the start of the epidemic, 130,931 people have died from Covid.

The vaccination

53,986,046 people have received at least one injection (80.1% of the total population) and 52,720,676 are fully vaccinated (78.2% of the population). And 35,523,188 people received a booster dose.
