Coronavirus in France: the results of this Wednesday, February 2


The situation tends to improve on the contamination front. Hospitalizations, however, remain high. The daily update on the Covid-19 epidemic in France, with figures from Public Health France and the Ministry of Health.

CONTAMINATIONS

This Wednesday, February 2, 315,363 new cases were recorded in 24 hours according to Public Health France. The decline seems to be confirmed.

HOSPITALIZATIONS

Hospitalizations for Covid remain stable with a total of 32,720 patients currently in hospital with a Covid diagnosis (compared to 30,624 seven days ago and 32,894 the day before).

In critical care services, there were 3,700 patients on Wednesday, slightly less than a week ago (3,712).

DEATHS

277 people have died in hospital in the past 24 hours, compared to 382 the day before. Since the start of the epidemic, 131,588 people have died from Covid.

THE VACCINATION

54,028,875 French people have received at least one injection (i.e. 80.1% of the total population) and 52,794,091 people now have a complete vaccination schedule (i.e. 78.3% of the total population).
