Corrèze: a retiree files a “symbolic” complaint against Emmanuel Macron

A 63-year-old man decided to file a complaint against the President of the Republic, deeming his remarks “discriminatory” towards people not vaccinated against Covid-19.

As a reminder, the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron had declared during an interview with the Parisian: “the unvaccinated, I really want to piss them off. And so we will continue to do it until the end. This is the strategy ”. Words that he had subsequently fully assumed.

However, like many people who felt offended and who made it known through social networks, a retiree who lives in Rosiers-d’Egletons in Corrèze, wanted to go further. Didier Lalande, who deemed these remarks “discriminatory and insulting”, thus filed a complaint last Wednesday for “defamation and public threats by person in authority”, as reported by AFP.

The man who is one of the unvaccinated against Covid-19, felt “shocked and hurt”, by the interview with Emmanuel Macron. However, aware that his act is unlikely to lead to a favorable result in his favor, due to the protection of presidential immunity enjoyed by the latter, Didier Lalande nevertheless made it clear that it was a question of a “symbolic approach”. “They impose constraints on me that I respect but I find it unbearable to question the citizenship of the unvaccinated” he defended.
