  • There is a new bug in Counter-Strike 2.
  • This allows you to “peek” like Michael Jackson.
  • There is already a configuration to run constantly.

There have been some bugs in Counter-Strike 2 since its official release. Among other things, numerous players have previously reported a hitbox problem in which the displayed hitboxes did not match the actual ones.

Although Valve has now corrected this error, fans have already discovered a new one. As you can see in the X-Video (formerly Twitter) from the ESLCS account, it is currently apparently possible to “peek” like Michael Jackson.

Incidentally, the so-called “peeking” refers to a mechanic in which you briefly step out of cover in order to quickly obtain information about the enemy’s location. The players usually take a quick lunge forward or to the side.

“Michael Jackson peek” explained

The “Michael Jackson peek” describes a special form of “peeking”. When your character emerges from cover, only the upper body moves correctly while the legs drag behind.

This makes it look to your opponents as if you were leaning forward while “peeking”. Since this “peek” shape is reminiscent of Michael Jackson’s iconic “moonwalk”, fans relatively quickly decided to give this mechanic the name “Michael Jackson peek”.

Configuration for the “Michael Jackson peek”

As is common with the Counter-Strike community, some players have taken advantage of the opportunity to create a special configuration for it. Reddit user T1ckbase has already created a cfg file that allows others to run the “Michael Jackson peek” constantly.

Since this mechanic is a bug, the likelihood that its use will result in a ban is rather low. However, if you don’t want to take any risks, you should avoid it.

Feedback from the development studio

Valve has not yet commented on this topic. Interestingly, the developer studio’s official X account has already changed its banner. This now shows the Counter-Strike logo combined with a figure that resembles Michael Jackson.

However, this change is probably just a joke from the social media department and not an indication that this mechanic is intentionally integrated into the game.

Of course, we will always keep you up to date as soon as Valve makes an official announcement about it or fixes the error in an upcoming update. Until then, we would like to give you an overview of important console commands for training on an offline server.
