Couple found dead in Isère: a call for witnesses launched to find Valentin, their 15-year-old son

In Isère, the bodies of two people were found charred in their house in Châteauvilain, where they lived with Valentin, their 15-year-old son. Since then, the teenager has been actively sought and a call for witnesses has been launched. A judicial investigation into assassinations and destruction by fire was also opened.

In Isère, residents of the small village of Châteauvilain are still shocked after the discovery on Monday of two charred bodies in a house in which a couple and their son, Valentin, lived, currently untraceable. A call for witnesses has been launched to try to locate the 15-year-old boy.

Valentin has been missing since Monday, the date of the discovery of the two almost completely charred bodies among the ashes of the family home. According to the first elements of the investigation, the two remains are those of the teenager’s parents. They were said to have suffered gunshot wounds to the chest and head before the fire in their house. For the moment, investigators have no more information on the circumstances of their death, nor on the disappearance of the young man.

Father’s car found in a neighboring department

Among the disturbing elements, the father’s car was found empty in a neighboring department and video surveillance images taken after the house fire show a young man at the wheel of the vehicle. But at the moment it is impossible to identify him.

A call for witnesses was launched by the gendarmerie to try to find the 15-year-old teenager. He is very actively sought and could be found in the north of Isère or in the Drôme, specifies the Grenoble prosecutor in charge of the case in a press release. A judicial investigation into assassinations and destruction by fire was also opened.
