Taylor Swift is one of the most famous and successful musicians ever. But apparently not everyone is enthusiastic about her – Courtney Love for example. In an interview she criticized the musician and other stars.

One of the biggest pop stars of the moment isn’t supposed to be important? At least that’s what the singer claims Courtney Love, 59, about Taylor Swift, 34. She also talks about famous colleagues like Beyoncé, 42, Madonna, 65, and Lana Del Rey, 38 – all women who have millions of fans worldwide and are successful. But the widow of Kurt Cobain, †27, has little to gain from them.

Coutney Love has harsh words for Taylor Swift

“Taylor is not important,” she said in an interview with The Standard. “She may be a safe place for girls, and she’s probably today’s Madonna, but as an artist she’s not interesting.” Speaking of Madonna: She doesn’t like the “Queen of Pop” either, but that seems to be mutual: “I don’t like her and she doesn’t like me.”

She also complains about Beyoncé and Lana Del Rey

Beyoncé’s new country album also doesn’t go down well with the rock musician. She appreciates the symbolism of “Cowboy Carter,” which consists of “black women going into spaces that previously only white women had access to.” But she doesn’t particularly like it. Love emphasized: “I just don’t like their music.” She said of Lana Del Rey: “I haven’t liked Lana since she covered a John Denver song and I think she should really take seven years off.” However, she used to think the singer was “great”. “When I recorded my new album I had to stop listening to her because she influenced me too much.”

She thinks they are clichés

“It’s great that there are so many successful women in the music industry, but many of them become clichés,” said the 59-year-old, summarizing her criticisms. “Now every successful woman is cloned, so there’s just too much music. They’re all the same. If you play something on Spotify, you’re bombarded with a lot of stuff that’s exactly the same.”
