Covid-19 Contaminations still on the rise, critical care admissions increase slightly


29,455 infections in 24 hours

According to the latest figures from Public Health France, laboratories have recorded 29,455 cases of contamination in the past 24 hours, around 5,000 more than last Monday (24,179). The rolling seven-day average stands at 128,241, compared to 127,488 the previous day and 89,763 the previous Monday.

Critical care admissions on the rise

The situation is deteriorating slightly in hospitals with regard to critical care admissions (174 against 124 a week ago). On the other hand, the total number of Covid-positive people in critical care is decreasing compared to a week ago (1,533 against 1,632).

Hospitals have identified 21,073 patients with Covid (20,706 last Monday), including 1,694 new admissions (against 1,401).

149 new deaths

149 deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours at the hospital (162 seven days ago). A total of 141,821 people have died from Covid in France since the start of the epidemic.

The latest vaccination figures

With regard to vaccination, a total of 54.25 million people have received at least one injection (80.5% of the total population), 53.34 have a complete vaccination schedule (79.1%) and 39.49 million received a booster dose.
