Covid-19: nearly 220,000 new cases detected today

2022 begins on the hats of wheels. Saturday 1er January, Public Health France announced, 219,126 new cases of Covid-19 were detected, continuing the viral wave that began earlier this week. For the past week, nearly a million new cases have been detected in France, with a historic peak of 232,000 cases on Friday, December 31. The slight drop on Saturday is also, in all likelihood, largely attributable to the closure of a number of screening centers.

The positivity rate of the tests, logically, therefore continues to increase, and reaches 13.86%. As for the incidence rate, it was 1,332.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants on December 29, according to data consolidated on D + 3 from Public Health France. Seven days ago, remember West France, this incidence rate did not exceed 647.
