Covid-19: since yesterday, the platform delivering the test results is saturated

In anticipation of the end of the year holidays, the French have taken their precautions and the race for screening tests is tough. Since Thursday, December 23, the SIDEP site, responsible for delivering the results of PCR and antigen tests, and therefore the QR Code, seems to be experiencing some complications, reports BFM TV. The reason ? The platform is full. This is due to the high demand for tests carried out a few hours before Christmas Eve. As of Thursday, no less than 1.55 million PCR and antigen tests were carried out in the country.

Antigenic test results, usually available within three quarters of an hour, now take much longer to arrive. Several pharmacists have confirmed, with the chain, to have been able to integrate the test results on the server, without the patients having access to them.

On Twitter, weary Internet users are calling out to the government, because the problem has still not been resolved. In the meantime, an alternative solution has been offered to healthcare professionals: a paper certificate attesting to the honor of the test result.

Contacted by Le Parisien, the Ministry of Health was reassuring about the dysfunction of the platform: “The influx is significant, which sometimes leads to a slowdown of the site, but it is remedied each time. If everyone wants to be reassured quickly, it is enough to wait fifteen minutes in front of the pharmacy to have its results. “

A few months ago, the portal had already made people talk about it. This summer, a flaw on the site transmitting Covid test results to the government platform made the personal data and test results of more than 700,000 people accessible.
