It is a topical subject that worries many French people: the vaccine against Covid-19. While many citizens demanded it at the start of the health crisis, some of them did not hide their concerns about the speed of its creation. Doubtful, for the most part, of its side effects. Aware of the apprehension about the future vaccination campaign, Olivier Véran quickly reassured the French. "The best way to achieve population immunity is through vaccination. This is the safest, most effective way, this is how we eradicate the diseases that circulate (…) The history of infectious diseases has been marked by victories obtained thanks to vaccines (…) diseases even more contagious than the coronavirus, which did considerable damage. Vaccination is still the means by which we have conquered the viruses which are transmitted strongly and which claim a lot of victims ", he said in August 2020 at a press conference. And December 27, 2020 is an important day concerning the progress of the fight against Covid-19. Indeed, this date marks the start of the vaccination campaign, but it is not for everyone. A decision misunderstood by many people.
Laurent Delahousse expresses his incomprehension
Very active on Twitter, Emmanuel Macron wanted to inform of the launch of the vaccination campaign against Covid-19. "First stage : the elderly who live in a community as well as vulnerable health professionals. Let's pass the message on to our ancestors, let's protect them as a priority ", did he declare. But this choice of not vaccinate that part of the nursing staff is not unanimous on the Web. "Well we will have to make a break to get vaccinated us caregivers since we are not in the plan for months and we continue looking at Covid-es all the time", can we read in reaction. A statement which quickly made Axel Kahn react, former researcher in genetics."This is a big mistake, in my opinion, of the vaccination plan ", did he declare. A tweet validated and shared by Laurent Delahousse "Same", he simply wrote. Indeed, the nursing staff who are not considered to be "at risk" will have to wait until spring 2021 to be able to hope to be vaccinated.
