They are nearly five million, those unvaccinated that Emmanuel Macron wants to “piss off”. But while 53 million inhabitants have been bitten at least once and that 25 million have already received their booster dose, who are these French people who have not received any dose?
On Wednesday, nearly 66,000 French people received their first dose of vaccine. But still five million remain without any administered dose. Among the latter, there are four million adults still unvaccinated. To this must be added the one million minors aged 12 to 17 who have not been vaccinated as well because, if the vaccination of these adolescents has not stopped, it is still progressing very slowly with 0.5 percentage points more. , for example, compared to last week.
Some feel they don’t need vaccines
The least vaccinated age group in France corresponds to 35-49 years. They are still 1.2 million. Then come the young people who feel that they do not need to be vaccinated because of their age and their health, who believe that they are coping with the flu. They are a million between 18 and 34 years to belong to this category. The vast majority of them are therefore not anti-vaccines.
There then remains a proportion of unvaccinated people who live apart in rural areas. These are the elderly. They are still 490,000 over 80 years to have received no dose.
