Crash Bandicoot: A new game soon to be unveiled? A rumor goes in this direction!

Here is some news that could well delight fans of the most famous Bandicoot in the world. After going out Crash Bandicoot: N’Sane Trilogy in 2017 then Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time in 2020, Toys for Bob would indeed be working on an all-new title in the franchise.

This information comes to us directly from a Windows Central reporter. We take stock with you.

Crash Bandicoot on the way to a new game

It is indeed during a podcast of Windows Central Xbox Chaturdays that the journalist Jez Corden broke the news. According to him, Toys For Bob, who has been at the head of Crash Bandicoot since 2017 (and no longer Naughty Dog), would indeed be working on the development of a new Crash title.

Otherwise, Rand al-Thorwho was also present during this podcast, not only supported the words of the journalist, but also declared thatit could be presented very soon, and more precisely during the next Xbox&Bethesda showcase. However, after these statements, Jez Corden wanted to know where he had this information, to which Rand al Thor replied that he was not “not supposed to divulge this“, while implying that it is true.

Moreover, in addition to this new Crash Bandicoot game, we know a little more about the latter since, always according to Jez Corden, the title would be, and this for the first time in the history of the franchise, playable in multiplayer up to 4 players. Following this information, we can therefore wonder if cooperation will be at the heart of the game, with levels that will be designed specifically for gameplay of this genre. As you know, since the release of Crash Bandicoot: It’s About Time, the license has welcomed several new features and therefore several new ways to play.

Indeed, in It’s About Time, Crash can have several powers through the different masks:

  • Playing with gravity thanks to the Ika Ika mask
  • Slowing down time with the Kupuna-Wa mask
  • Make decorative elements appear or disappear thanks to the Lani-Loli mask
  • Extend his whirlwind attack with the ‘Akano mask

Thus, with all these new mechanics, we can imagine not without difficulty that the players will have, in the next game, to switch between them to be able to complete certain levels, but also perhaps to play with other new powers.

Anyway, we’ll have to wait until the Xbox x Bethesda Showcase conference which will take place on June 12 at 7 p.m. French time.

According to recent rumors and the reception of Crash Bandicoot goodies by some influencers, it seems that a brand new title is in the works. Will we hear any news at tonight’s PlayStation Showcase?
