Devastating accident in Innsbruck on Saturday! A local man (60) drove his car into the oncoming lane, first hit another car and finally crashed head-on into the car of a 52-year-old local man. Both drivers were injured in the crash.
The accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. The 60-year-old was driving his car on Haller Strasse towards the east. “On the overpass at the intersection of Schusterbergweg and Haller Straße, the driver crossed into the oncoming lane for an unknown reason,” the police say. 52-year-old seriously injured The car first hit the car of an 80-year-old local. The 60-year-old then crashed head-on into the 52-year-old’s car. While the 60-year-old suffered “only” minor injuries to his face, the 52-year-old sustained a serious injury to his forearm. The overpass had to be closed for around an hour.
