MILAN, Jan.6 (Reuters) – Crédit Agricole has submitted a takeover offer to Italian bank Banca Carige, Il Messaggero reported on Thursday.
The French bank offers to buy Carige for 1 euro and calls for a capital injection of 700 million in the establishment before its acquisition, adds the Italian daily. (Report Francesca Landini, French version Nicolas Delame)
