Creepy ! A man convicted of cannibalism became a famous porn actor

At the time, this story made headlines. It all starts in 1949, the year of birth of a certain Sagawa, a Japanese born in the city of Kobe. The latter claimed to have first fantasized about eating human flesh when he was just six years old. His favorite story as a child was Hansel and Greteland he even remembers looking at the thighs of his classmates in elementary school thinking: “It looks tasty”. What followed is one of the most disturbing criminal cases on record.

Because growing up Sagawa’s cannibalistic fantasies took a sexual turn, fantasizing only about women’s flesh. At 23, he tried to take action for the first time by breaking into the Tokyo apartment of a young German girl wearing a mask of Frankenstein’s monster. Fortunately, the latter overpowered him and when the police arrested him, Sagawa pretended that he intended to sexually assault the woman, thinking he would be treated more leniently than if he had said. that he wanted to eat it. His wealthy father posted bail, and he was released.

Several days of atrocities on the body of his victim

But in 1981, then aged 32, he decided to take action again. With success. Accepted at the Sorbonne University to study literature, he became friends with a Dutch student, Renée Hartevelt. Consumed by his desires, and as the 25-year-old had gone to his house for dinner, Sagawa slipped up behind her while she was reading a book and shot him in the neck. Sagawa then engaged in several days of atrocities, raping Renee’s dead body before eating parts of her flesh.

Arrested and placed in a high-security psychiatric institute, Sagawa was released ten years later, before returning to live in Japan. Having become a celebrity thanks to a pornographic film shot in 1992, the latter began a career, navigating between the world of X and food criticism… A truly terrifying story.
