Crime in Znojmo – eighth victory! 99ers set the club record

Great end of the year! Shortly before the end, the ice hockey cracks from Graz let themselves be taken from their bread with a score of 3: 2 on Thursday evening in the Czech Republic, as they had to go into transfer time against Znojmo. In which, however, Ben Blood and Co. fixed the eighth win in a row in the penalty shootout – the Murstadt-based team last succeeded in spring 2019!

The Graz win in the Czech Republic was, however, a damn hard piece of work, despite Joey Martin’s lightning start (2nd). Znaim was a nuisance, couldn’t be shaken off: 1: 1, 2: 1, 3: 1, 3: 2 – and the equalizer was promptly made just seconds before the end! The decision, including the happy ending for the Graz team, is only made in the penalty shoot-out! But because 99er Ben Blood kept his nerve there, as the only one to score, the men of head coach Jens Gustaffson won the eighth 4-3. The VSV is welcomed in Graz-Liebenau on Sunday in the New Year with an extremely broad chest.
