The Carinthian Arno Nicolussi-Moretto was honored with the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic. He works as a manager for the Chinese real estate developer Greenland Holding, lives and works in Shanghai, where he has now been awarded the medal by his compatriot, Consul General Helmut Rakowitsch.
It is not every day that two Carinthians meet in the financial metropolis of Shanghai to celebrate a high state award. “It was therefore not only an honor, but also a particularly great pleasure, to present Arno Nicolussi-Moretto with the Golden Cross of Merit of the Republic awarded by our Federal President,” says Helmut Rakowitsch, the Austrian Consul General in Shanghai. Nicolussi-Moretto works in international hotel management (57) has worked in international hotel management for 30 years and has been working for the Chinese Greenland Holding since 2016, where he is responsible as manager for the global expansion of the luxury hotel brand Primus. Incidentally, the Klagenfurt native with South Tyrolean roots is the only European on the Greenland management level and is therefore also a strong figurehead for Austria there.
