The 1st Advent is here. The Swedish royals are also celebrating the day and sending Christmas greetings via Instagram.

Today, Sunday (November 29th), the pre-Christmas season starts with the 1st Advent. Like many other people in the world, the Swedish royals also celebrate this special day. "The Crown Princess, Prince Daniel, Princess Estelle and the gingerbread man Prince Oscar wish you a happy first Sunday in Advent," says the Swedish palace's official Instagram account. There is also a video and a magical family portrait on which son Oscar (4) stands out in particular.

"Today is the first Sunday in Advent. Advent means arrival and hope – something that feels particularly important this year," the post said. In the accompanying video, Crown Princess Victoria (43) repeats the sentence in Swedish. She is sitting with her husband Daniel of Sweden (47) and their two children Princess Estelle (8) and Prince Oscar in a room decorated for Christmas.

While the youngest offspring is in a gingerbread man costume and has made himself comfortable on his mother's lap, his sister is wearing a dark dress and has her blonde hair braided into pigtails. The family dog ​​has made himself comfortable next to her.

Daniel of Sweden solemnly lights the first candle on the Advent arrangement in the video, the son is allowed to blow out the match. "We wish you all a nice first Sunday in Advent," says Princess Estelle with a smile into the camera.
