The champions of the IEM Rio Major, Underdogs (the former Virtus.pro team which plays under an independent tag to avoid ESL sanctions against pro-Russian groups), is reportedly close to signing the high-profile player, KaiR0N-according to the insider OverDrive on Twitter. The 18-year-old, who is currently benched by Aurora Gaming, could replace David “n0rb3r7” Daniyelyan.
Aleksandr “KaiR0N-” Anashkin has been announced on several rosters recently. That small German-Russian nugget won several low-tier titles during the 2022 season, but also reached good places in the qualifying tournaments for the Dallas or Rio Masters. We will especially remember his presence at the European RMR A of IEM Rio, without much success, but which allowed the player to confront Fnatic or Eternal Fire.
