Appliance specialist, Candy has marketed the CSOE C10DG-S dryer, to date number one in sales on Amazon. This large capacity model can accommodate up to 10 kg of laundry. It is also connected via wifi for remote control.
The Candy CSOE C10DG-S dryer is not the newest in the manufacturer’s catalog, but it is number one in sales on Amazon. This is hardly surprising given its attractive technical data sheet and its particularly attractive price.
This machine has its place in the laundries of large families. Able to accommodate up to 10 kg of laundry (most of the models in our comparison do not exceed 9 kg), the drum of the Candy CSOE C10DG-S reaches a volume of 125 l. Nevertheless, if it benefits from a comfortable volume, the Candy CSOE C10DG-S maintains rather standard dimensions (65 cm wide by 85 cm high) which will not oblige its owner to offer it a place of choice. On this point, we are very far from the Samsung DV16T8520BV mastodon which is 100 cm high and clearly cannot take the place of a conventional machine.
In addition to its large capacity, this machine uses condensation technology which aims to condense the steam present in the cavity to then transform it into water. The liquid then concentrates in the 5 l collection tank. It will therefore be necessary to think about emptying this collector after a long drying cycle. In fact, this machine does not have to be connected to a water drain.
The Candy CSOE C10DG-S is equipped with a heat pump. This technology has two advantages: it is supposed to be quite energy efficient and does not allow temperatures to exceed 60°C, which avoids damaging the textile fibers during drying. Nevertheless, the cycles of dryers using a heat pump are generally longer than those of models based on a conventional resistance system.
15 programs and connectivity
The CSOE C10DG-S control panel consists of a dial to access the 15 programs offered, including the classic ready-to-iron, cotton or quick-dry. The display next to it provides information on the program selected, the water tank or even a programmed start.
This model is connected via wifi and it is therefore possible to set up a program via smartphone equipped with the hOn app. This connectivity allows the user to launch the cycle of his choice remotely, pause the machine or obtain information on energy consumption. There is also advice on the treatment of textile fibers and it is very likely that notifications will be sent to warn the user that it is time to carry out some maintenance operations (emptying the water tank, cleaning the filters ).
Despite all the functions offered, this dryer is not sold at too plump a price since it will cost 400 € to get it.
