Amazon and Fallout are on cloud nine…
To access these two free Fallout games developed respectively by Bethesda and Obsidian Entertainment and released in 2008 and 2010, you will have to go through… Amazon Luna. After the death of Stadia, Amazon’s Cloud Gaming service continues its merry way in the clouds. Until October 10, Prime subscribers will be able to recover Fallout 3 and New Vegas at no additional cost on Luna. But is the offer worth it?
To enjoy these Fallout games on Amazon Luna, you must have a very solid Internet connection, as they are not stored on your machine. But streaming quality can sometimes leave something to be desired, with lag or instability issues. Unfortunately, GeForce NOW or Xbox Cloud Gaming is not what you want. Especially since these two titles, now of a certain age, can very easily run natively on any relatively recent PC and are often offered elsewhere at ridiculous prices, or even for free.
A take-it-or-leave-it offer
These two Fallout games offered for free by Amazon have also greatly benefited from the work of modders to modernize them and improve the overall experience. On Luna, such a thing is absolutely impossible. You will therefore have to be content with these titles in their basic version. However, they are seriously showing their age, and the sporadic instabilities of Amazon’s Cloud Gaming service do not necessarily improve things.
