A few days before its official release, Cult of the Lamb reveals itself a little more thanks to a new video, shared by Devolver Digital and Massive Monster. This visual communication summarizes the game mechanics, the narrative background and provides some information regarding the options and the lifespan of the software.
As a reminder, Cult of the Lamb is intended to be an action-adventure game with typical roguelike mechanics. Thus, players will embody a young lamb saved by a mysterious entity and will have to venture into the world called The Old Faith, which is made up of four different regions. In these areas, they will have to face many enemies, but also bosses, namely the four Prelates. Without forgetting the fact that throughout our adventure we will be able to meet NPCs who can help us or sell weapons and curses, among others. In addition, it will be possible to enjoy mini-games.
It will also be an opportunity to collect various resources, necessary to build and grow a new community, and to save lost souls, so that they join the cult. Thus, Cult of the Lamb also has management mechanics.
In this recap video, we also learn that the life of Cult of the Lamb is between 15 to 20 hours. Note, moreover, that the title will propose four difficulty modes : Easy, Medium (recommended by developers), Hard, Extra Hard. In addition, players will be able to change the controls, whether they are equipped with a keyboard/mouse or a controller. Several accessibility options will also be available so that everyone can configure their experience as they wish.
Cult of the Lamb arrives on August 11 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC and Nintendo Switch. It is already possible to pre-order the title on the appropriate stores. Note that the PC requirements are already known and a demo is available on Steam.
