Are you a sci-fi fan and have an Apple TV+ subscription? So it is likely that this news will delight you. A series on the platform, much appreciated by the public for its original approach, has been renewed for a third season.
Invasion returns for a third season
Simon Kinberg and David Weil have not said their last word! In 2021, the two creators launched a new series on Apple TV+ narrating an alien invasion. First perceived as yet another alien story without much interest, this series called Invasion surprised a good part of the public by choosing to take place both in real time and with great sobriety in terms of special effects. The series therefore follows the point of view of a few people placed all around the globe, people who try to understand what is going to happen as the visitors threaten the survival of humanity.
With 10 episodes, the first season was ultimately very well received, and a second season of 10 episodes had also been ordered in the process. This was broadcast from August 23, 2023 and the public responded again. However, many spectators feared that the production, a science fiction drama, would not go further than that. Well that was without counting on the platform, which ordered a third season of Invasionn to Simon Kinberg and David Weil.

A desire for assumed credibility that pleases
Filming began in mid-February, but the release is not yet not expected before 2025 on the SVOD service. In France, Invasion is visible on Apple TV+, but also on Canal+ which has the broadcasting rights. Regularly compared to War of the Worldsthe Invasion series is however more calm. The attack is slow, and much less spectacular. The idea here is to offer a more psychological approach and to quietly develop the story and the universe to give a feeling of credibility to the whole. If no giant alien has yet tried to invade our planet, Invasion seeks to offer a story that gives an impression of reality. The special effects are few but successful, and the series has been praised for the quality of its photography. We don’t yet know what this third season will tell us, but we should find Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland, and even Tara Moayedi in the cast.
