Announced last month, Marvel Rivals took the opportunity to indicate that it would soon be playable for free in advance. It’s now officially confirmed and coming soon… but not for everyone.
Marvel Rivals, a new 6v6 hero shooter involving MCU superheroes/villains, will indeed be entitled to a closed alpha, only on PC, in a few days. Unfortunately, NetEase has chosen to offer an alpha that really lives up to its name. In addition to welcoming few players, it will be restricted to a very targeted audience…
Marvel Rivals soon in a very closed alpha
From May 10 to 20, a closed alpha for Marvel Rivals will be held. However, it is not necessary to specify the times in France, or even Europe and Asia in general, since they are not affected by this VERY closed alpha. It will in fact only welcome 30,000 participants and… only in the United States and Canada. Marvel fans in the rest of the world will therefore have to wait their time wisely. Unless you use any artifice to pass yourself off as residing in the aforementioned regions.
Regardless, the closed alpha of Marvel Rivals will allow you to try three game modes: Convoy, Domination and Convergence. Overwatch regulars should already have an idea of what these names mean. Three maps are also on the program: the road to Yggdrassil, the Royal Palace of Yggsgard and Tokyo 2099: Shin-Shibuya. 19 heroes will be playable, as listed below:
