for many, but it is also a fantastic vector of help and good vibes for various causes. For example, the Furax event will soon take place with a very specific desire: to donate donations to the fight against sexual and gender-based violence… and not only that.

Furious, but in a good mood

There is no shortage of charity events on Twitch: we can cite Speedons which was held just last weekend with more than two million euros raised in favor of Médecin du Monde (a record!) or even a certain ZEvent, the biggest of all, which we no longer present (but which will be absent this year). In this nice lot, we also find Furax, a charity event founded by Nat_Ali and Joul.

Furax’s goal could not be more laudable: fight against sexual violence, gender-based violence and cyberharassment. Furax is not only an event, but also recently a 1901 Law association dedicated to the cause.

This year 2024 will therefore see the second edition of Furax and This new streaming weekend will take place on Friday April 5, Saturday 6 and Sunday April 7. Everything will be managed by the Furax team, but also by Afrogameuse, which advocates the visibility and professional integration of women and Afro-descendant minorities in the video game industry.

See you in April

These three days of live will be punctuated by several recognized Twitch personalities: for the moment, Turbojoul, Nat_ali, Modiie, Mamapaprika, Ebibi Glass and Horty have been announced and the rest of the line-up will be highlighted later.

Another important detail: since it is a charitable event and therefore based on donations from Internet users, these will be used in particular to support “Feminists Against Cyberharassment”, an association created in 2016 and mobilized against violence against women, girls and LGBTIQ+ people.

For the moment, sponsors include brands like TopAchat, Lizardcube or Ico, but Furax is still looking for other partners to help finance the event: it’s happening here for sponsorship! Without that, you can also join the Furax association just there.

Last year, the first edition raised 57,000 euros for the Elle’s Imagine’nt association; during TwitchCon in Paris in July 2023, it was Twitch himself who left a check for $33,000 (also for Elle’s Imagine’nt)recognizing Furax as a true charitable player on its platform. Hats off.

Brief, see you on the weekend of April 5, 6 and 7, 2024 on Twitch at this address !
