By current expenses, the firm means food and non-food expenses excluding taxes, health, rents, loans, travel and hotels.

Amazon has the strongest growth of any brand by far. His runner-up, UberEats, a specialist in home meal delivery, appears with a contribution of 9.8%. Third, the DIY brand Leroy Merlin is at 5.7%.

This ranking is a good illustration of the new consumption habits of the French. For example, the meal delivery boom, with two companies in this sector appearing in the top 10: UberEats, 2nd, and Deliveroo, 5th. But also the growing interest in DIY. Except Leroy Merlin, 3rd, we find Brico Dépôt 9th.

Action at the foot of the podium

Sporting goods brands are not left out. They are also two in the top 10: Decathlon 6th and Intersport 8th. The presence at the foot of the podium of Action, which specializes in non-food products at low prices, is also a sign of the attractiveness of the French for discount.

It should be noted that no major retailer is included in the ranking. There is only one food brand, Grand Frais, 10th. The appetite of the French for second-hand products is finally illustrated by the presence of Vinted in 7th position.
