CD Project had the good idea of calling on Keanu Reeves to play Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077the actor perfectly lending his voice and face to the anarchist rocker while participating greatly in the promotion of FPS/RPG. The Polish studio tried the experiment again with Idris Elba in the extension Phantom Libertyan actor who once again hit the mark in the game by playing Solomon Reed.
From now on, the Cyberpunk 2077 page seems turned, but CD Project been working on it for a while a suiteknown under the code name Project Orion. There is almost no information on the game, but screenwriter Magda Zych obviously has ideas in mind and she would not be against the idea of using a famous actor or actress again after Keanu Reeves and Idris Elba. In an interview with GamingBoltshe declares:
Any talented actor who will help us tell our stories as we imagined them and at the same time who will be able to help us reach new audiences among their fans is a great opportunity for us; and we will definitely want to continue down this path for as long as it makes sense for the story we want to tell. What we always pay the most attention to is making sure that an actor is able to convey the personality of his character, that he is convincing in his role, so that the world of our games is also believable as possible.
There is therefore no question of calling on an actor simply for his popularity with the public, it must first match the game and its character. Obviously, if a new star is in the mix for the Project Orion, we will have to wait a few more years before finding out.
