After the success of "The Witcher", the game developer CD Project Red sends "Cyberpunk" his next horse into the Netflix race.
It's one of the biggest blockbuster video games of the year, fans have been waiting for "Cyberpunk 2077" to be released in April. It was recently postponed for a second time, and the game, in which Keanu Reeves (55, "The Matrix") also appears, is due to be released in November. Now CD Project Red announced in a video that an anime decoupling of the game will be produced together with Netflix: "Cyberpunk: Edgerunners".
When does the series appear?
The Polish game maker has already had great success with its series spin-off for the hit title "The Witcher". The anime decoupling for "Cyberpunk 2077" is said to tell an independent story that is only located in the "Cyberpunk" universe. Together with the animation studio Studio Trigger and director Hiroyuki Imaishi (48, "Promare") CD Project Red wants to publish the 2022 series on Netflix.
