Cycling Julian Alaphilippe at the start of the Tour de l’Ain?

The Tour de l’Ain promises to be very tough this year. Forced to give up the Tour de France, Julian Alaphilippe (Quick Step – Alpha Vinyl) should indeed take the start of the Indian event scheduled for August 9 to 11, according to L’Équipe.

The sports daily announces that the double French world champion will prepare there for the next Vuelta which starts on August 19 from Utrecht in the Netherlands. Before participating in his second Tour of Spain (August 19-September 11), Alphilippe will resume the Tour of Wallonia (July 23-27), then continue with the Clasica San Sebastian (July 30) and therefore the Tour de l’ Ain (August 9-11).

A Tour de l’Ain which promises to be very interesting since Guillaume Martin could also be present, after having been ousted from the Tour de France because of a positive test for Covid.
