According to media reports, Cyndi Lauper’s son Declyn was arrested shortly after a shooting.
Declyn Lauper (26), son of the legendary 80s singer Cyndi Lauper (70), has been arrested, according to media reports. According to articles from ABC News and the daily newspaper “New York Daily News” The 26-year-old was arrested for possession of a handgun after police were called to a shooting in New York’s Harlem neighborhood on Wednesday evening around 7:15 p.m.

The police then found Lauper in the surrounding area with a loaded gun. A 24-year-old man who was taken to hospital is said to have been injured in the leg in the shooting. Both Lauper and the injured man are said to have been arrested. The singer’s son is accused of possessing a loaded Glock pistol “with the intent to unlawfully use it against another.”
Lauper’s father, David Thornton, 70, posted bail on Friday. The 26-year-old, who raps under the name Dex Lauper, is currently free on a bond of $20,000.
