What will fans think of the Samantha cameo?

Cynthia Nixon worries Samantha’s cameo in ‘And Just Like That…’ won’t live up to fans’ expectations.
The second season of the “Sex and the City” offshoot “And Just Like That…” recently started and many a fan is already looking forward to the finale. Because in the last new episode, Kim Cattrall (66) will return for a cameo in her cult role Samantha. Her former “Sex and the City” co-star Cynthia Nixon (57), who plays Miranda, worries that this performance might not live up to all the hype.
“We were very disappointed that the secret of Kim’s upcoming performance was leaked,” explains the actress in an interview with the British “The Sunday Times”. “We were so hoping that it would be something that people wouldn’t know about until they saw the episode – and that it would be a fun surprise while they [die Folge] look at.”
“A Very Short, Very Little Cameo”
She’s worried that after all the reports over the past few weeks, viewers will “wonder what all the fuss was about. It’s important to know that it’s a very short, very small cameo.”
At the end of May it became known for the first time that Cattrall should get a short appearance. The US industry magazine “Variety” reported at the timethat Samantha should call Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker, 58) in the season finale. Kim Cattrall confirmed the appearance shortly thereafter. She has not previously starred as Samantha on “And Just Like That…”.
No more coming back than Samantha
insider had betrayed the “Page Six” at the beginning of June, how two concrete conditions for a return Cattralls are said to have looked like. She didn’t want to be in front of the camera with her old “Sex and the City” co-stars Parker, Nixon and Kristin Davis (58) – and showrunner Michael Patrick King (68) shouldn’t be on the set.
On the US show “Today” the actress just said that the shoot lasted about four hours and that she will be back “just for this cameo” at the end of August. It felt like she could “dip her toe into the past for a wonderful afternoon.” However, when asked if she wanted to delve further into it, she said sternly, “That’s as far as I’ll go.”
In Germany, the second season of “And Just Like That…” has been available on Sky Q and the Wow streaming service since June 22nd. There are always new episodes on Thursdays.
