Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140: the first price revealed

The ogre Dacia continues to conquer the automotive market with sales that make many manufacturers dream thanks to an almost unbeatable quality/price ratio. However, the Romanian manufacturer is lagging behind in terms of electrification, and for the moment its production is content with petrol, diesel or dual-fuel petrol/LPG engines.

With the arrival of the Dacia Jogger Hybrid 140, revealed at the Paris Motor Show, the manufacturer could boost its sales as soon as orders open in January 2023. Indeed benefiting from Renault’s know-how, the Jogger is the first model Dacia to be equipped with the 140 hp E-Tech hybrid technology, already seen on the Clio hybrid. The 90 bhp 1.6-litre 4-cylinder petrol unit is assisted by two electric motors (a 50 bhp motor and a high-voltage starter/generator) and an electrified automatic gearbox with four gears dedicated to the thermal block, two others being allocated to electricity.

Coupled with a 1.2 kWh (230 V) battery charged via regenerative braking or while driving, the 140 E-Tech engine allows 80% electric driving in town, fully electric starting and up to 40% fuel consumption in less on an urban cycle compared to a thermal equivalent.

Autonomy is given by the manufacturer for 900 km in combined cycle and the battery taking place under the floor, it does not encroach on the trunk volume. It is also always possible to opt for a seven-seater version, which represents 55% of sales.
