Despite the government’s call for price moderation, the 2024 car insurance premium is expected to increase again. The average increases will revolve around inflation, admitted to AFP Adrien Couret, general director of the Ama group which brings together Macif, Asio and Abeille. For its part, the Facts & Figures firm anticipates a peak in prices of between 6 and 8% in 2024 when the Assurland comparator is more measured with an estimate of 4%.

These price increases are justified by the rising prices of spare parts (+8% over one year), automobile repairs (+3.5% over one year) and climate losses. Faced with their multiplication and their ever-increasing costs, the natural disaster regime, fueled by a tax on home and auto insurance contracts, should increase from 12 to 18% by 2025.

Isn’t it time to compare your contract to market offers? You will have to pay 630 euros on average to insure your vehicle in 2023, compared to 611 euros last year. Thanks to the MoneyVox Market Intelligence tool, which analyzes the database of the broker Meilleurtaux, we have deciphered more than a million quotes issued since the start of the year to present to you the car brands whose average annual premium is the most attractive.

Furthermore, we chose to retain the all-risk guarantee, certainly more expensive, but also more protective for the consumer. It is also the majority since it is subscribed to in 55% of the contracts for the 48 million vehicles (2 and 4 wheels) in circulation.
