2024 - Daily: Gérard Depardieu boasts of driving his scooter while intoxicated

Tuesday, February 15, 2022, Gérard Depardieu was invited on the set of Daily life, on TMC. Facing Yann Barthès and his columnists, the actor confided in his alcohol consumption and what it could cause.

While promoting the film Maigret, Gérard Depardieu visited the set of Day-to-day. Facing the actor, Yann Barthès underlined: “There’s a scene where Maigret drinks a glass of white wine and they offer him a beer and he says: ‘No, it’s a blank investigation!‘” Amused, Gérard Depardieu then replied: “Here, when I start a white investigation, I end it in white.” Referring to his personal consumption, the actor assured never to mix. “We attack in white , we finish in white”, he said. So, RMC’s flagship host bounced back by assuring viewers that the star had been drinking water before the show. The opportunity for Gérard Depardieu to reveal a new anecdote…

In full transparency, the famous actor explained, “I attacked in the water this morning. I can’t drink anymore because the other time I wanted to show off, but I didn’t feel like drinking. I drank two gins with friends in the rue du Cherche-Midi and I was incapable. I collapsed! I left on a scooter. Fortunately, the two boys followed me. I parked my scooter and afterwards I fell into a sort of coma. But it’s silly, I realized the next day that I was in great shape!“Amused, Yann Barthès then threw at him:”Every time you come, you tell us that you are drinking and taking your scooter.“During this interview, Gérard Depardieu also mentioned that day in 2012 when he went to a meeting of Nicolas Sarkozy and gave him his support.”I was drunk, I went to Villepinte. When you’re drunk, you regret nothing“, did he declare.

Gérard Depardieu: “I don’t drink anymore because it pisses me off”

In January 2021, the actor had assured in the show Passage of the arts reduced their alcohol consumption. Faced with Claire Chazal, he had thus assured: “I’m pissed off, that’s why I don’t drink anymore. Or else I drink very quickly, simply to try to feel drunk. And to be able to fall freely. Otherwise, I don’t drink anymore, because it kinda pisses me off. We are sad at the end.“
