While Yann Barthès received several athletes on his set, in order to present the outfits that French athletes will wear at the Paris Olympic Games, the host experienced a great moment of solitude in front of one of his guests.
Revealed to the general public as a chronicler of Michel Denisot in Le Grand Journal on Canal+, where he presented a little humorous piece called Le Petit Journal, Yann Barthès then emancipated himself from the star program of the encrypted channel, in order to embody an XXL version of his column. After several years of success on Canal+, Yann Barthès was poached by TF1 in 2016. He thus joined the TMC channel with part of his team to launch the talk show called Daily. Here again, it was a success, given that the program’s audiences increased from year to year.
Friday February 16, 2024, Yann Barthès was once again at the helm of a new new episode of Quotidien on TMC. That day, the host received many guests on his set, among whom we can notably cite RTL presenter Flavie Flament. Yann Barthès also invited several athletes who will represent France at the Paris Olympic Games in a few months. On this occasion, the different athletes dressed with the official outfits of French athletes for this competition. For his part, Yann Barthès experienced a great moment of solitude when questioning a judokate. Actually, the journalist was surprised that this person was wearing a blue Kimonoand therefore asked him if Kimonos weren’t supposed to be all white usually.

The judokate questioned by Yann Barthès replied that in fact, judo was “a confrontational sport“. Therefore, the opponents who compete on the tatami are always “differentiated” by two distinct colors. Thus, one of the fighters will wear a white kimono, while the other will be dressed in a blue kimono. Having been afraid to ask a question”idiot” to his guest, the host of Quotidien therefore realized with this response that his fears were perfectly justified. Subsequently, the jukodate questioned by Yann Barthès exclaimed: “Are you stupid?!“, addressing the presenter. A reaction which provoked laughter from all the people present on the TMC set that day.
