Reunited after more than 30 years: Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase are shooting their fifth film together, the teen horror “Zombie Town”.

Between 1985 and 1991, Dan Aykroyd (70) and Chevy Chase (78) made four films together. Now the friendly comedian duo is reunited. As reported by The Hollywood Reporterthe two actors have signed to the film “Zombie Town”.

“Zombie Town” is a film adaptation of the youth book of the same name by RL Stine (78, “Goosebumps”). It’s about 12-year-old Max, who is watching a zombie film in the cinema with his girlfriend Karen. The undead crawl through the screen into our world and hunt down the heroes. “The Hollywood Reporter” describes the film as a “mystery teen romance”.

The main role of Max is played by Marlon Kazadi (17), who has already shot “Ghostbusters: Legacy” with Akroyd. Karen is played by Madi Monroe (18), who has 17 million followers on TikTok. It is not yet known what roles Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase will play.

Dan Aykroyd and Chevy Chase: From “Saturday Night Live” to “Zombie Town”

Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd met on “Saturday Night Live” in 1975. Both belong to the founding staff of the legendary comedy show. Chase left the ensemble after a year, Aykroyd stopped in 1979.

In the 1980s, Aykroyd and Chase had become the most successful comedy actors in cinemas. They stood in front of the camera together four times. In 1985 they played the leading roles in Spies Like Us. In “Caddyshack II” (1988) both have small parts. In the same year “The Coach Trip” came to the cinema. Dan Aykroyd stars, Chevy Chase has a cameo appearance.

In 1991, Chase starred in Aykroyd’s directorial debut, Valkenvania. A pure service of friendship. Chase later revealed in his autobiography that even before filming began, he thought Valkenvania was the worst film of his career.
