Dancing with the stars: why Clémentine Célarié refused to participate

Clémentine Célarié is back on the front of the media scene with a book, The forbidden words. Questioned by Télépro on this subject, the actress took the opportunity to reveal the reason why she refused to participate in Dancing with the stars.

In her book, The Forbidden Words, Clémentine Célarié mentions, among other things, her colon cancer, from which she is now cured. A subject that many had advised her to avoid, but that the actress wanted to address openly. “Cancer is associated with death, it’s scary. Me, I take it as a joke because I say that I am cured. You have to talk about it as lightly as possible when you get out of it. In our society, it is something that is scary”, explains Clémentine Célarié in the pages of Télépro. “It is a mistake not to talk about it. You shouldn’t say ‘long illness’, it’s cancer, it’s not contagious. It’s as if we were plagued, a bit like AIDS at the time.“In her book, the actress also evokes the current society, immersed in social networks. A funny time in the face of which the actress tries to remain optimistic. “I have already thought of going to Africa to be a nurse when I have moments of despair“, she admits, however. In the meantime, Clémentine Célarié pursues her passion, the game. She is also in Claude Lelouch’s latest film, Love is better than life.

Clémentine Célarié: “I don’t like ideas from stars”

No question, however, of making entertainment on television. “I was offered a lot of things like Dancing with the stars“, she confides before adding: “You shouldn’t spit on shows like that. It’s not ugly. I don’t like celebrity ideas“. So do not expect to find Clémentine Célarié in the flagship program of TF1.
