Daniel Donskoy: What the British are doing better in the Corona crisis

Britain is on the verge of lockdown. Daniel Donskoy lives in London and describes the corona situation in the British capital.

There has been a nationwide lockdown in Germany since Monday, and Great Britain will follow suit from Thursday. In an interview with the news agency spot on news, Daniel Donskoy (30) describes the current situation in London. The actor and singer has his main residence in the British capital. "It's not easy. The city is really empty. The prices in London are immense and government support is lower and slower than here in Germany," summarizes the "Sankt Maik" star. "But the British are very good at 'Keep calm & carry on' – better than the Germans," says Donskoy positively.

He plays James Hewitt in "The Crown"

Donskoy is not only privately in Great Britain, however, at the beginning of the year he was also in front of the camera for the successful Netflix series "The Crown". After a casting, he got the approval for the Royal series through his English agency. "The shooting took place exactly on my 30th birthday and during the lunch break I sat between Helena Bonham Carter and Olivia Colman, I had a wonderful day." Donskoy can be seen in the fourth season of the series as Rittmeister James Hewitt, with whom Princess Diana is said to have had an affair at the time. The new episodes will be available from November 15th on the streaming service.

Musically there is also news from the singer and songwriter. At the end of October his new single "24" was released, with which he wants to make it onto the sex playlist of his fans. "The song is about lust and desire, but also about becoming aware of your freedoms. The freedom to be high – whatever that high may be. My greatest wish would be that people feel free while listening and I can take it with me into my world. If it also brings my music into a pleasurable state – I've done everything right, "laughs Donskoy.
