Daniela Katzenberger (36) can no longer see Mama Iris Klein (56) crying. After separating from her husband Peter Klein (56) and weeks full of tears, the cat wants to encourage her mother to online dating in the new episode “Daniela Katzenberger – Familienglück auf Mallorca” (Wednesday, 8:15 p.m., RTLzwei). She had actually already finished with it, saying: “I’ve dated three guys now, one worse than the other!”

When she sees her dating profile with a photo of her bare feet, Daniela warns her mother: “But that also attracts foot fetishists.” New pictures are needed quickly. As a surprise, there is a professional styling beforehand. On the occasion, Iris also makes it clear that she still has something good with her daughter anyway – after all, she would have paired her with her husband Lucas Cordalis (55). Logical conclusion: “You owe me a man now!”

The next challenge awaits in Munich, where the cat, husband Lucas Cordalis and daughter Sophia (7) shoot a commercial for their docu-soap. Daniela also reveals that she still “gets the shock” when she sees herself in a magazine or on an advertising column. On the other hand: “But now I also know how most people are doing in Germany.” Daughter Sophia gives an extremely professional image during the shoot and “almost overshadows” her parents in the scenes, as Lucas says. “We can actually let them do it on their own. Maybe next year,” jokes the singer.

Pottery and Psychology

Daniela and Lucas want to do something for their relationship again: pottery. The cat forms a heart plate, Lucas a guitar, at least he claims. The action is less “Ghost – A Message from Sam” scene and more pure meditation for the cat, who compares it to cleaning: “All this monotonous shit, I love it more than anything!” When it comes to choosing the decoration of the plates, things get interesting from a kitchen psychological point of view. Katzenberger explains that she “didn’t grow up so rich bitch moderately”, but had “rather less than normal”. The fact that she always overloads everything – be it the apartment, herself or a plate – is due to this “feeling of lack” that she grew up with. Lucas, on the other hand, grew up in abundance – and is therefore now a minimalist, for example when it comes to furnishings.

The highlight of the episode comes at the end for the cat: Lucas surprises her on the beach with the finished video for her first solo song. That could have backfired: “I’m my biggest critic, it almost turns into self-hatred,” the cat explains the problem. While the family dances, she also looks at the television tensely and with a stony expression until the end. Only then does the tension fall from her and she bursts into tears of joy: “It’s so awesome that I can’t believe it’s me!”
