US actor and "Dance of the Devil" star Danny Hicks is dead. He died of cancer at the age of 68.

The US actor Danny Hicks is dead. As his booking agency Full Empire Promotions confirmed via Facebook, Hicks died at home in California. He was 68 years old. Just a few weeks ago, the "Dance of the Devil" actor announced in a Facebook post that he had cancer. Hicks wrote that he had bad news and was at an advanced stage. However, he was quite optimistic and stated that he could still live for one to three years.

"But I have to tell you that I've put a lot of life into my 68 years," wrote Hicks. Now he had to go. In an accompanying picture, he was already heavily drawn from his illness and extremely emaciated. Danny Hicks was often cast by cult director Sam Raimi and was seen in the films "Spider-Man 2" and "Darkman".
