Danone: Danone strengthens its management team, appoints three new deputy CEOs


PARIS (Reuters) – Danone announced on Wednesday the appointment of three new deputy general managers to continue the implementation of the company’s strategic plan.

The general manager currently in charge of international, Véronique Penchienati-Bosetta, will be in charge of the “International” categories, “Specialized nutrition and waters”, and the “Global marketing and digital” functions.

Shane Grant, who currently holds the position of GM of the North America zone, will now be in charge of the “Americas” and “Dairy and plant-based” categories, as well as the “Global Customer & Commercial Leadership” functions.

Juergen Esser, DG Finance, Technology and Data, will perform the same functions under the position of Deputy Managing Director.

“This new organization of the management team will accelerate decision-making, allow for better coordination and faster execution in the service of sustainable and profitable growth”, commented the general manager of Danone, Antoine de Saint. -Africa, quoted in a press release.

The group also announced the appointment of Pablo Perversi as CEO Europe and the departure of Floris Wesseling and Nigyar Makhmudova, respectively CEO Europe and CEO Growth, who sat on Danone’s executive committee.

These new appointments will be effective from February 1, 2023, Danone said.
