Dark Souls: PvP server shut down due to hackers
The “Dark Souls” series is one of the most well-known franchises in the world and is notorious for the level of difficulty in the games. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, the series is not spared from hackers. the discovered a dangerous vulnerability in Dark Souls 3. According to the site Gamerant, they are supposed to “gain access to private information, disable computers and run programs in the background.”
As a precaution and to investigate, From Software has confirmed on the official Twitter account that the Dark Souls: Remastered, Dark Souls 2, and Dark Souls 3 PvP servers shut down became. However, this only applies to the PC versions. The console versions are not affected.

Dark Souls: Community is happy, but also expresses criticism
Most react positively to the news and thank those responsible for the solution, but criticize the whole situation.
“I’m glad you’re finally addressing the issue, but tech companies need to stop ignoring user security when their *big* bugs have been shared with you privately.” This is disappointing,” Ram wrote on Twitter.
“As much as I appreciate the efforts being made now, hackers doing this shit has been a problem with so many of your games for years. Please finally implement an effective solution because this is literally destroying the online game on PC. You’re welcome!”
Whether From Software can solve the problem completely remains to be seen, but at least they reacted, to protect your data.
