At the expense of Insomniac Games, a lot of leaked information suggests multiple projects from the studio.
As a reminder, this was the subject of a ransomware attack on Monday. After further analysis of the data stolen by the hacker group Rhysida, a large part of the games in production at Insomniac Games was discovered, including an adaptation of the excellent films SpiderVerse.
A future all woven for Insomniac Games
Among the most notable Insomniac Games productions of recent years, the game series Spiderman and especially the second opus released last October have particularly left their mark. It is therefore not surprising to learn, via the studio’s very recent ransomware attack, that double efforts will be made on this license.
So, a post on the subreddit Gaming Leaks and Rumors gave a glimpse of the rest of the program for this universe. Besides a very logical Spider-Man 3in which Miles Morales is expected to shoulder the brunt of the responsibilities, the mention of a game SpiderVerse is mentioned.
As a reminder, it was originally a series of animated films produced by Sony Pictures Animation, once again with Miles Morales as the main protagonist. Given the combined success of these films and Insomniac’s games, such an adaptation seems natural. It could even be, given the fact that we see a multitude of Weavers, that it is in reality the famous multiplayer title still kept secret.
A studio that lives up to its name
This is apparently not all that is in the works at Insomniac Games, which obviously lives up to its name. We already know that another Marvel superhero will be entitled to the studio’s video game treatment, in the person of Wolverine.
The leaked data also suggests a new opus Ratchet & Clank. Another logical sequel, given the resounding success of the devilishly amusing and beautiful Rift Apartone of the flagship exclusives of the PS5 at its launch.
Last still mysterious project revealed following the attack of the Rhysida group: a game with the code name “ RCE “. On this point, all bets are off as to what it is. Still, if we know the bulk of Insomniac Games’ upcoming projects, we will have to show a lot of patience before we really see the color.
