Dating shows: These TV dome formats bring spring with them

Spring time is flirting time – also on TV. Several channels are currently starting a real dating show offensive and will be presenting their audience with one dome format after the next in the coming days and weeks. These highlights are pending.

From April 19: "Bauer sucht Frau International"

Inka Bause (51) has started again. The second season of "Bauer sucht Frau International" started on April 19 at RTL. This time, seven farmers and a farmer in the most distant countries go in search of great love. From poultry farm owner Vivien (38) in Australia to coconut and palm plantation operator Ashok (42) in India – they all hope to find the right partner. The six new episodes run every Sunday from 8:15 p.m.

From April 20th: "First Dates Hotel"

Gastronomy and host Roland Trettl (48) will expand the concept of the VOX dating show "First Dates – One Table for Two" from April 20th. In Provence, he and his well-known team open the gates of the "First Dates Hotel", which should invite singles to fall in love. The news agency spot on news explains Trettl: "In a hotel you can get to know each other better and possibly even before the date. After a meal you have time to get to know each other better by the pool or – maybe for the quickest – in the room." The episodes run every Monday at 8:15 p.m. at VOX.

From April 20: "Prince Charming"

Nicolas Puschmann (28) is looking for his Mr. Right as "Prince Charming" in Greece. From April 20, VOX shows the episodes of the first season of the gay dating show, which was already shown on TVNow last year, at 10:15 p.m. Puschmann can choose from 20 single men. Why did he get involved in the dome format?

In an interview with spot on news, he says: "I saw it as an opportunity to fall in love in completely new ways." He sees the real dating world as fast-moving and superficial. "Many people swipe away potential dates with a swipe or scroll through dating apps like a catalog. Often only appearances lead to contact." It is different on the Greek island, "without a cell phone with 20 men". The show recently received the Grimme Prize.

From May 4th: "Match! Celebrities on dating course"

Model Sarah Knappik (33), "Love Island" winner Marcellino Kremers, "Bachelor in Paradise" participant Sebastian Fobe (34) and ex-jungle camper Claudia Norberg (49) finally want to fall in love again – and RTLzwei helps them. On May 4th the new dome show "Match! Celebrities on a Dating Course" starts, in which the four TV stars mix in a row at a single party under "Normalos". In the end you have to choose a date partner of your choice. The four episodes run every Monday from 8:15 p.m. and are then available free of charge on TVNow for 30 days.

From May 6: "Are You The One?"

The participants in the new RTL dating show "Are You The One?" have to listen to the heart and head at the same time. From May 6th, ten single women and men will be on the lookout for their perfect counterpart, which has been determined by experts. If all ten couples made the right choice at the end of the show, they win 200,000 euros together. Moderator Jan Köppen (37) ensures law and order. He is by the singles as "caretaker of love". The new episodes have been available on Tuesdays on TVNow since April 14th. In two weeks they will be shown on Free TV every Wednesday from 8:15 p.m.
