Prince William (39) knighted British actor David Suchet (75) on January 25 at Windsor Castle. This is reported, among other things, by the British “Daily Mail”. The Royal recognized Sir David Suchet, who was there with his wife Sheila Ferris, for his services to the stage and to charity. 2020 had already become knownthat such an honor should be bestowed upon Suchet.

Suchet is best known for his portrayal of private detective Hercule Poirot in the television series Agatha Christie’s Poirot. His career began in the late 1960s at the theater, numerous film and series roles followed. He has also been nominated for various prizes, including the British BAFTA Award. In 2002 he became Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), 2011 Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE).

102-year-old magician also honored

Among other things, the 102-year-old magician Henry Lewis from London was honored on Tuesday for charitable services. In a short clip, which was published on the Instagram profile of Prince William and his wife, Duchess Kate (40), Lewis shows his magic. “I don’t do tricks, I do magic,” he explains.
