DAZN has been investing diligently in its new FAST channels for several months. DAZN Fast and DAZN Rise have now also landed at Joyn in Austria, after Samsung TV Plus, waipu.tv and LG were the first partners in this country.
On request, DAZN did not want to confirm whether the two channels will also start with Joyn in Germany in the foreseeable future. A spokesman for the company confirmed that DAZN would like to make its FAST channels “available on other platforms in the coming weeks and months”. Joyn would of course be a conceivable candidate here, although not more than that at the moment.
ProSiebenSat.1 boss Habets has already made advances to external partners
At the same time, ProSiebenSat.1 wants to launch a kind of mega media library not only in Austria, where the time of the name change from Zappn to Joyn was used to expand the platform, but also in Germany. In March, the CEO of the broadcasting group, Bert Habets, put out his feelers in the direction of ARD and ZDF. Accordingly, Habets would certainly be open to cooperation with DAZN.
In addition to waipu.tv and Co., Joyn would certainly also be a suitable addition to DAZN, but has not yet commented on this.
