Deadpool 3: 20 years after Daredevil, Jennifer Garner takes over the role of Elektra


Jennifer Garner back at Marvel? And yes, it’s official: two decades after her debut as Elektra, the actress is back in her costume!

According to The Hollywood Reporter (via ComingSoon), Jennifer Garner will play Elektra again in the third installment of Deadpool’s adventures, after playing the Marvel character in 2003’s Daredevil and then 2005’s Elektra. ‘a possible return of Ben Affleck in the skin of Daredevil: the addition of Jennifer Garner in the casting suggests that other similar cameos could indeed take place…

Deadpool 3 will mark Ryan Reynolds’ official debut in the MCU where he will once again be reunited with Shawn Levy (Free Guy, Adam Through Time), at the helm of the project. On the poster for the third installment, we can also find Hugh Jackman who, after his performance in Logan in 2017, will finally come out of his superhero retirement to resume his emblematic role of Wolverine.

Several actors seen in previous films will also be back, such as Karan Soni (Dopinder), Morena Baccarin (Vanessa), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Leslie Uggams (Blind AI), Rob Delaney ( Peter) or Shioli Kutsuna (Yukio). Additionally, the film will star newcomers Emma Corrin and Matthew Macfadyen.

Having grossed a total worldwide gross of over $1.5 billion, the first two Deadpools were both box office hits. It remains to be seen whether the long-awaited sequel, and now stamped Marvel, will equal or surpass its predecessors.

Deadpool 3 will be released on our screens on May 1, 2024. In the meantime, the first two parts can be seen streaming on Disney+.
